3 new mommy questions (re: naps, belly sleeping and cleaning toys)

Hi Ladies,

1.the belly sleeping for naps is going well.
my question is: do I need to turn her head so she sleeps balanced on both sides? or is that a non issue since she's not sleeping on her back? she seems to prefer to sleep w/ her head right side down. she does turn to the left once and awhile.

2. she's finally showing some (a little) interest in grabbing things. how should i clean the rattles, etc? and how often?

3. she's been sttn better lately. if she sleeps for 8 hours, wakes, has a bottle and then goes down for a 3 hour nap after being awake for 1 hour, is that ok?

TIA!

1. not sure about this

2. I used to clean the rattles in warm soapy water after I did the dishes at night. If they aren't water proof, I would just wipe them down with a wipe!

3. Yes! Very normal & lucky too (that she is giving you an 8 hour stretch to start!!!) It's is common for babies to go back to sleep 1-2 hours after waking!

1. I would definitely try to turn her head from side to side. You don't want her head to be flatter on one side then the other, or for her to have a stiff neck. I wasn't concerned about this during the night, but for naps I always tried to make sure he was sleeping on the oposite side.

2. I was his toys if they hit the floor. Now at 6 months, I wipe them down almost every night before bed.

3. I think that's great!

1.I'd turn her head so she sleeps balanced on both sides

2. I clean toys with vinegar and water. I would avoid bleach, because if there is a little bleach that isn't' rinsed off it can do so much more damage than a little bit of dirt would.

3. Her sleep sounds fine. I wouldn't wake her or try to mess with it.
