I recently had my meeting with the social worker to get our 'approval' for IVF.
As we left, she told us that she believes the right baby will come to us (and any couple) no matter the method (IVF, surrogate, adoption, donor, etc.)
I don't know if these quotes of hope help or hurt you at this point, but I wanted to share as it's the belief I'm living by these days.
Thanks... I feel like this will be more something I'll understand once we hopefully have our baby. For now, I just can't help but question why the 6 babies we lost weren't the right ones  People say that goes away once your baby is in your arms... but personally, I'll never understand why any of my babies were taken from me - especially my first where if we were not one in some crazy statistic, I would have him right now.
For those who don't know, we switched from an agency Dr.B recommended to the one Giuliana and Bill used. The agency was fantastic so for anyone who is considering surrogacy and sees this in a search, please FM me for info. I was VERY pleased with the way everything was run on the agency's end, etc... and I truly LOVED my surrogate.

For me, it's true. Having my baby girl in my arms solidifies the "meant to be" or "everything happens for a reason" philosophy. But, I don't think I will ever understand the depths of why I had those 6 losses that weren't "meant to be." It doesn't go away for me or stand as an explanation. I've learned to stop questioning though. There's a special place in my heart for those little babies that could've been and a special place in heaven, I'm sure.
Pushed down, knocked around, just know youre very brave in the end.

Thanks Kelley, I agree with what you said... I don't think any baby I have in the future will take the place of one or many that I've lost ...... there's always a special place for each of those little miracles, even if it's not in our hands.

Thanks ladies.. my dh and I are already thinking of next steps, etc.. For anyone here who has been following my story, you know I don't lay dormant for too long  .. For right now, I'm just waiting to email my surrogate. My agency informed her that we were advised by Dr.B to not move forward with the cycle and she asked that I not contact her for a few days to allo her to process things. I feel really bad and I know that until I do contact her, I can't have my own personal closure. We bonded over the last few months and became close. My hope is that we can still be friends. I think she's afraid I'm mad at her - when in reality, I'm just so grateful that she provided us hope, even if just for a little while.

oh jackie, i haven't been on here in a few weeks and just saw this. My heart breaks for you!!!
I'm sure this is difficult for your surrogate to process as well as she was probably just as excited to be able to provide you with that hope, and she now feels like she's let you down.
I wish you all the luck with your new agency and that the next one works!
