30 day shred thread!

My review:

Jillian Michaels is the devil reincarnated, but boy does she do a good job of getting you to sweat, use all your muscle groups, get the heart rate elevated for the whole 20 minutes...

I did the level 1 and cannot imagine what the level 2 has in store. I think I'll do level 1 for a week or until I feel I'm ready for a harder workout but this really kicked my fat azz.

I work out fairly regularly (gym 4 days/week) but this was an incrediblle workout and something that changes things up!

The reviews I've read are so positive...people are losing the last 10/15 pounds they couldn't get rid of b/c of the way the workout is designed.

I highly recommend this!! Let's see what happens after 30 days!!

She doesn't! I was waiting to hear how many times/week you're supposed to do it..

But the reviews I've read said that most people are doing 5x/week. Seems about right to me, I need 2 days of a break from working out!

At the end of the video there is a section where you lift the weights eye level and bring down and keep repeating while you do squats....I AM SO BAD AT IT!!! I Didn't realize how weak my upper body is. After carting around a 30 pound 19 month old you'd think it would be so strong, lol.

omg me too, that was the hardest part for me. and my twins are 19 months too.

Thank you!! I think I am going to start with 3 pound dumbbells. I don't want to get too sore because then I won't do it again.

I am only on day 4. I am determined to take off 15 pounds by summer (July actually) and when I set my mind I am usually pretty good.

I started REALLY doing WW this sunday, it's now friday and combined with the DVD I am down 3 pounds.

I am happy with that! I can feel a slight change already if thats possible, or it might be the sore muscles talking.

Not as sore today as yesterday and feeling VERY motivated!

Hope its ok that i continue to update this thread as i keep doing the dvd! It helps keep me motivated!

Definitely ok to keep updating the thread. I am sure lots of people would like to see progress reports when they search for new workouts.

DH said I will get my DVD on Monday so that is when I will start. I am thinking of doing the elliptical machine every morning before work and then the DVD after work like 3 or 4 times a week (depending on how busy I am).

We are going to the Bahamas in 6 weeks. I'd kind of like to lose 10 pounds before then. I know that is a very crazy goal. But I am hoping to get back into WW and this video will help.

I like updating the thread too. I did it for the 2nd time yesterday and it wasnt AS bad. Definitely still hard and I can feel my legs toning up.

No coordination really needed!!

If you can do jumping jacks, squats, push ups (Which i HATE), and ab work you are good to go. I am not too coordinated and haven't had a problem.

Off to start week 2 now...I am tired (son was running a fever all night and crying Chat Icon ) but I know i'll feel better once I do it!
