Me!!!!! I bought a used '81 Datsun!! it was almost mint til I got a hold of it!! and btw, it was two toned brown!!! I was hot stuff cruising in that thing!

It may have been Northfork..I know one of them bought the other or something. Either way, Fleet is what comes up on my credit report.

I saved some $$ and my parents chipped in the rest and got it for me (it was a an 84 Mustang Convertible that stalled every few blocked  )

I did. My parents told me when I was practicing driving for my license that they would not be helping me or my siblings purchase a car, if we wanted one, we'd have to pay for it ourselves. I worked my asss off for that car, brand new Honda Civic, only to have some jerk crash into it in a parking lot and completely total the front end.

My parents. It was my favorite car to date! A brand new Chrylser Lebaron convertible. It was wrapped with a big bow and sitting in my driveway!! God I miss that car!

We went and emptied out my life savings LOL it wasnt much, they had to help out anyway, I think they gave me a grand and I paid the rest for my 1994 ford escort, purchased in 2000 and still going strong!!

No, I was saying that I bought my car and it was through North Fork Bank. I didnt even know one bought the other. Im not sure what my credit report says

basically a pick up with a cap and back seat
I loved that car
My Mom got a new car - I would do the same for my future childern
I paid for gas and they pretended to take my money for insurace- but they were really puttting it into a bank account for me to take to college

I got my mom's old car (a 92 chevy camaro), then a few years later my father helped me buy a more practical used car because I was commuting back and forth to USB.

My dad fronted the money for me & I paid it back along with whatever interest he would have made if the money was in a savings account.
