Re: 3rd tri birth weight predictions vs what you had
The day before I had Charlie, I had a sono done. They said he was measuring 9 1/2 pounds and could go 1 pound either way. I was convinced that I was having a 10 pounder, but he was 8- 12.

Re: 3rd tri birth weight predictions vs what you had
For both my kids, my doc did the sonos in his office and both were very accurate. My son was breech, so I had a sono each visit to check his position. At my 30 week visit, he was estimated to be 5.5 lbs already. My doc said at 1/2 lbs a week, he would be over 10 lbs at 40 weeks. He was born 7.5 weeks later, and he was 9 lbs 7oz. I think that was a very accurate estimate!!
My DD's weight was also watched closely because I was going for a VBAC. She was estimated at just over 7 lbs at 36 weeks and she was born at 38.5 weeks at 7 lbs. 11 oz.

Re: 3rd tri birth weight predictions vs what you had
My doc said around 6.5- with no sono- just measuring me. The baby was 6.7 pounds and a very easy delivery with little tearing so count your blessings!
