4 month old sudden significant change in schedule - thoughts?
DD used to be on a great schedule. Wake, eat, play, nap. She napped from 8:30-11ish in the morning, 1:30-3:30ish in the afternoon, and again from 5:45-6:45ish in the evening.
All of a sudden, within the past week, she's been zonking out right after finishing her bottles. If we can keep her awake after finishing, she falls asleep in her jumperoo (literally puts her face down on the edge - it is so sad). Her naps are now like 45 minutes long, and she's been way more cranky than she used to be.
Thoughts? Does something "happen" at 4 months that I am not aware of? I know every kid is different but if anyone has insight/experience with something like this i'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Sleep regression sometimes happens at 4 months.
But that sounds like a growth spurt.
Laila has never been on a set schedule, but I remember it getting really wacky around 4 months and it was a growth spurt.

Re: 4 month old sudden significant change in schedule - thoughts?
I get weekly emails from Our365 (something I think I signed up for in the hospital). My DD was 16 weeks last week and it said that around this stage their schedules change and they get fussier as they adjust to the changes going on in their bodies. So far every "what's happening this week" email has been so accurate for her.

a couple of weeks ago DS started waking up during the night every hour. He would wake up, cry a bit then go back to sleep. This went on for a few days then just leveled out. It's possible it's a little spurt and will even itself back out.

DD was never on a set timed schedule, however, I did notice that she became pretty fussy around that age as well. She is now 6 1/2 months and going through it again. I agree with Jackie, it sounds like she may be going through a growth spurt.

I think they're wired to get us used to certain behavior, and then they randomly decide to change it up.. just because they can!
hopefully this was a growth spurt, or maybe teething is starting and she's starting to change her habits a little? have you tried to change the schedule from what it was to accommodate her napping more, or feeding at different times?

What I would give to have like 4 days home with her to figure out what's going on and come up with a plan. She will have been with DH for 2 days, my mom for 1 1/2 days, and MIL for 1 1/2 days by the time this week is over. Trying to sort this out based on second hand information is making me want to rip my hair out!!
I keep texting my mom to ask what's going on today and her response is "shut up and do your work"
We have her christening this weekend and family staying with us starting on friday, so the weekend is not going to help either. Argh.
