5 & 6 year olds first time to disney - 3 days, which parks?

if we have only three days to attend disney parks, which ones would you recommend for kids that aren't over 50 inches tall?

definitely disney, but what others?

i heard universal wasn't good b/c they aren't tall enough.

what do you recommend?

You need more than 1 day for magic kingdom, IMO

Hollywood studios - esp if they like pixar movies (Toy story, bugs life, monsters inc)

That was one of my 3 yr old DD and 1.5 yr old favorite parks!

Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios

Depending on crowd levels, Magic Kingdom could take more than a day.

Universal is not great for younger kids (except for maybe the Dr Seuss land) but IMO it's just not worth the price of admission for that one area.

Those were the 3 I was going to suggest. I don't think you need an extra day for Magic Kingdom though. I mean, it depends on lines of course, but we did it one day... one really long day. Chat Icon

Epcot is fun if they like science and aquarium stuff with Nemo.

Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom defiantly! My little sister LOVED Animal Kingdom when we took her (she was 4).

Definitely Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom or Sea World...

Hollywood Studios also has a lot that would be good for kids too...

Universal wouldn't be worth it since they're so little and I think little kids would get bored in Epcot.

I would say MK and AK.

MK has the most for the kids and you could easily spend 2 days there and have a great time.

AK is fun, we usually only do 1/2 a day there but my DS just turned 3 so its a lot of walking and such and really all he wants to do is the safari and the petting area.

HS is nice but its alot of SHOWS. So its alot of coordinating times and then in a show for 30 minutes etc. I think if you had to choose I would do MK or AK before HS.

WE also like Epcot but I think DS could probably do without that.

Epcot has fast track and soaring which are awesome for that age...plus finding nemo, the Ellen Degenres Time energy travel thingy, missions space, jedi training, princesses, and Kim Possible game (great for that age and parents can enjoy the countries. Tucked in the World showcase there are two more rides. Love it. SO much fun.Chat Icon

There are height restrictions for both soaring and test track. Epcot is MY favorite, but for a young kid, it's a little boring.

Test track and Soaring height requirements are 40 inches, which my 3 yr old can go on. 44 inches for mission space. I think 5 is the perfect age for these rides. Chat Icon

Re: 5 & 6 year olds first time to disney - 3 days, which parks?

Animal Kingdom didn't take us a whole day because my 3 and 4 year old were too small for a lot of rides. I don't remember the requirements. We went in the morning, had lunch at the rainforest cafe and then went to epcot.

We also did Hollywood studios in a half day because we only really stayed in the younger area (The ariel show, meeting the characters, toy story etc).

We did the most time at magic kingdom. We are going again in July and will see what happens again since our kids will be a year older and taller.
