I would really like to understand the whole killing a doctor who performs abortion. Why is that LIFE not respected?

I saw a documentary once called "Soldiers in the Army of God" about the so-called pro-lifers who kill abortion doctors. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in this topic. It is always terrifying to see God used for hate and murder. I always wish people would ask themselves what Jesus would do in a situation. I think the world would see a lot more compassion and kindness that way.

My favorite hypocrisy is pro -life/ pro death penalty! I have heard their argument about how a criminal deserves to die while a baby is innocent.
in their opinion, it's a baby the day it's conceived.

So the argument is that it is up to humans to judge the value of a life? So then the argument is not PRO-life at all is it? If you are PRO-life, you would be PRO life in all forms, good or bad, including the lives of everything in nature, no?

That was my point in the question about killing doctors.

and then they turn around and PLAY God when they take someone's life away. hypocrite much?
ETA: many pro lifers are also against the morning after pill - they call it a death pill

I'm pro-choice but against the death penalty.
me too- IMO rotting in Jail for your whole life is MUCH worse then death
and we make too many mistakes with DNA testing etc for me -
and once the person is dead the wrong can't be corrected
as far as being pro- choice is concerned- that doesn't mean I am PRO- ABORTION- it means I believe in the right to make that choice-

Re: Q's for the pro-life folks
I don't think I would ever opt for an abortion (easy to say at 39, I know) however....I would never presume to tell other women what they should do. IMO if abortion were made illegal again we would just have back alley abortions going on, which is much worse.
So I guess I am pro-choice....and as far as the death penalty - I would say I am against it but other times I see horrific acts and then wonder why we have to pay thousands of $$ in taxes to keep this person not only alive but comfortable in a jail cell...

Believe it or not, it is a fact that it costs more to keep a person on death row than to put someone in jail for life w/o parole.

The # of ppl wrongly convicted on death row is staggering... Some states have issued a moratorium on the death penalty after conducting internal investigations into the # of people falsely convicted/falsely put to death. The justice system does its best but is not perfect. If you are poor (and add minority to the mix!), you certainly do not get the same defense or representation as someone with money. So, for me, it is twofold: I do not believe that any human has the right to say another should be put to death (JMO, I know many others disagree and you have the right to) and I think the justice system has too many imperfections/inconsistencies to oversee this.

Re: Q's for the pro-life folks
I would describe myself as pro-life, but I don't think abortion should be illegal. While I know one can't really say what they would do in that situation until it happens to them, I don't see myself opting for an abortion. I don't think government can legislate morality and frankly all of the energy that is spent on the abortion debate frustrates me. I feel like if we spent a fraction of those resources on helping women with affordable child care, health care and enforcing child support payments, we would all be better off.
I don't support the death penalty or the war in Iraq.
