My favorite hypocrisy is pro -life/ pro death penalty!Chat Icon

I have heard their argument about how a criminal deserves to die while a baby is innocent.

in their opinion, it's a baby the day it's conceived. Chat Icon

So the argument is that it is up to humans to judge the value of a life? So then the argument is not PRO-life at all is it? If you are PRO-life, you would be PRO life in all forms, good or bad, including the lives of everything in nature, no?

Just quoting myself to explain my point.

Daniela- i agree with you. What i'm saying though is that the TWO really shouldn't be compared, because it could just as easily be considered a 'great hypocrisy' to say that one is pro-choice And pro-death penalty. (meaning, that ANYONE who is pro-death penalty could be considered a hypocrite based on their views about abortion rights).

one should not be indicitive of another, and i think people equate the two too easily. Its like calling an animal rights activist a hypocrit because they kill a roach. People choose to argue their points in a way that supports their own agenda, but it doesn't mean that, by default they're correct.

Re: Q's for the pro-life folks

maybe you can't compare the two...

maybe you can...

i think i see both sides of that coin...

I do see somewhat of a hypocrisy...
When i think of a pro-lifers point of view...the arguments they make...well it would be odd, hypocritical if you will...to believe in the death penalty...

When you don't look at it as such...then i don't

i dunno

I hear you. We are all hypocrites on some level. However, I think if you are going to use the term pro-LIFE to explain your agenda (and I am talking to the more extreme probably) then you should value LIFE in all of its forms.
