Well there is one positive from the interview that none of you can turn into a negative (I think). He isn't taking a salary as president!
He wouldn't be the first. Who gives a cr@p.
People who think he's so wonderful and generous for not taking a salary when he's likely not taking it because it makes him look better to his flock. That's my guess anyway.

4, including him out of 45.
Of course if Hillary did that (which you can bet your batootie she would) you would be yelling it from the rafters.

Nah. I actually think it has something to do with not paying tax or his tax return. I'm sure he'd have to show info to receive the salary. There's a bigger reason than trying to look good I think. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Would gain points with me if he took it and donated it annually to the veterans. But we know how that went last time

You have proven how ignorant you are. You should remove yourself from these boards now. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is tired of listening to you.

Exactly. He's an alleged billionaire. Why would he need, what? $250k? So he's not taking it. Who cares. I had no idea they could even opt to not take a salary. If Hillary had been elected and took the salary, which is her right to do so, there wouldn't be a headline saying that she took the salary. It's a non-issue, non-story.

60 Minutes Trump interview
I'm just curious why it was so important to see obamas birth certificate but he won't show his tax returns. Remember how he was so deadset on it?

I think it's $400k and I agree who cares? Like that's going to erase the damage he's done. White America rising and I'm supposed to applaud him for not taking the salary? $400k is likely his annual budget for socks or ties or his wife's botox injections anyway so it's not like it means much to him. And by the way I would feel the same if it were HRC or any other president to forego the salary. I don't care.

Also, it was a way to put Obama in his place, asking a black man for his papers. Racist little man.

60 Minutes Trump interview
Why are the non Trump supporters so eager to see him fail? Honest question. Had Hillary won I definitely would not have been happy but I sure as hell wouldn't be hoping that she fails us.

I also do find it worrisome him not taking the salary and not instead donating it. Others have donated it to charities. That seems like the best option than leave 400k on the table, no?
And big bad obama actually donated some of his salary in a show of unity with the furloughed fed workers.

Not eager to see him fail. People are alarmed. People have been attacked and harassed.

I don't think anyone WANTS him to fail because let's face it...............his failure means we all suffer. However, I think based on many factors people just feel he WILL fail and are a little afraid of just badly.
Speaking for myself, I don't think he knows what he's in for. I don't think he's equipped to be president, I don't think he'll choose the right people to guide him, and I think ultimately he may cause some real damage in this country. I hope he proves me and everyone else wrong but from what we've seen of him throughout this election cycle, I just don't think he's the man for the job.

Because no matter who he donated the money too, good or bad people would be up and arms about it so it's probably best he does nothing with it and just take it out of the budget line item.

I don't think they are eager to see him fail. I'm certainly not. A fail for him is a fail for us all. But when he's already appointing anti-semites to his cabinet and people who don't believe in climate change to head the EPA I lose all faith. I already didn't have any to begin with and he's making it worse. I feel like he only took this job, which he doesn't even want, to stroke his ego. He loved hearing people gather and chant his name. And we all are going to suffer for his ego-mania. I hope to be wrong. I want nothing more than to be wrong. I'll feel so much better if I am. I hope he does an amazing job. I'm just not confident he will.

I think a clear cut donation with proof would do a world of good. Unfortunately he has a blemished track record of that.
I'm hoping he does donate though.

We all know how Trump's donations pan out or end up. Trump is only trying to put himself in the same league as true billionaires like Bloomberg when he didn't take a salary for being NYC mayor or he only took like $1 for some legal purpose. I'm sure Trump will come up with some lame excuse why he should take the full salary. In due time.
