7m PP, EPing and no AF?

Holy Acronyms!



Should I be concerned? I only pump 4x a day (4:30, 10, 4, 8) and I still have not gotten AF? I thought I got it once but it definitely wasn't.


Is there a time frame where I should get concerned? Like over a year?

All joking aside, I don't think it is an issue. Consider yourself lucky! At least you don't have to spend money on diapers AND feminine hygeine products . You can always ask your ob/gyn if you're concerned.

Tilde, just as an FYI, I only BFed Luca for 5 months (mostly pumping after 3 months) and I didn't get AF until two months later, so it could take a while.

It's possible not to have AF return by this point but I certainly would not rely on nursing or pumping as birth control. Just b/c AF hasn't returned, doesn't not mean you can't ovulate.

I EP'd with DS. I never got AF and made an appointment with my OB/GYN to find out when AF would return. He was like, "you do know you're pregnant, right?"

And that's how DD came about

This time around, AF showed around 9 months PP. I wouldn't be too worried- EP/BF can really throw your body off. I would enjoy not having AF while you still can and keep some tests around if you're not sure!

I just fully weaned DD at a little over 9 months. I haven't had AF in about 18 months!

some people dont get it back until they completely wean! I was jealous of those people! I nursed both kiddies for a year and got AF at 5.5 months with each!

DS is 7 months and EBF and still no AF. I am very happy that she has not made her return, one less thing to worry about

I got mine at 8 months.... after she really started going to town on solids.

Took me almost 2.5 months after I stopped BF'ing to get AF, I wouldn't be too concerned at this point, but you could ask the doctor just to be sure.

My cousin BF until her DD was 15 months (only twice a day at that point) and didn't get AF until 18mos PP. I don't think it's anything to worry about

i did not get mine till i finished nursing - i was down to 2 times a day at 10 mpp and i still did not get till i was done at 12 months

I'm not pumping, but I am 8.5 months PP and still haven't gotten it. DS BFs 4 times a day.

With DD, I was pumping and didn't get AF until we started FF around 7 months.

I EBF and didn't get it back until 10 months PP. By then, I was only nursing 4x a day also.
