For DS#1, I didn't get AF until 11 mos PP, which was when I completely stopped pumping. Then I got PG with #2 on the first cycle.
For DS#2, I got AF a month after I stopped pumping (12 mos PP).
After not having AF for all that time (April '07 through Nov '09) -- I REALLY didn't miss her.

I was EBFing and got AF at 7 months PP. I wouldn't be concerned. Some women don't get AF while BFing.

It's possible not to have AF return by this point but I certainly would not rely on nursing or pumping as birth control. Just b/c AF hasn't returned, doesn't not mean you can't ovulate.
That's how my brother ended up being 12 and a half months younger than me!

i bf for 20 months 
i think i got AF around 14 months after having dd
and yes, even though you do not have AF, you can still easily get pregnant!!!

Same exact thing happened to me. I got AF for the first time after BF when DD was 8 months. Thought it was just a really bad, heavy AF...but it turned out I was pg and had a m/c.
...and then I got pregnant again the following month I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I ep'd for a year. At 7 months exactly there were no signs of af coming. A few day a later I started having some af symptoms and sure enough she came later that week.
