Little things that send you into an insane rage???

Is there something SMALL that someone could say/do that will send you right over the edge??

Someone just disagreed with something that I said, and smugly answered, "well, blah blah blah, but you keep doing you."

I want to punch this person. I have just added the (awful) phrase "you do you" to my list of things that send me into a psycho rage.

Certain things a family member does sends me into a rage. An adult acting like a 5 year old.

After I walk through a door, I hold the door open for someone (with my arm behind me, as I'm poised to keep walking after the door "handoff"), and they walk through without taking the door from me. I seethe.

OMG YES!!!!! Especially if they dont say thank you!

People who dont say excuse me when they need to get by, that REALLY pisses me off. Generally just people with no sense of space and the other people in it. Like a person in the aisle of a store who blocks the ENTIRE AISLE with herself and her cart at some weird angle, sees you standing there, doesnt make an attempt to move, then you say excuse me and they move like 2 inches.

When people tell me to smile. I am not here for your entertainment! I have a severe case of RBF, and I have been hearing that my whole life. Now that I am an adult if I hear that I tell them to say something funny and that usually throws them off. That or a really scary fake smile Chat Icon

That and the phrase "not so much" makes me rage. It's so immature.

The phrase "it is what it is" which to me = I have no desire to help rectify the situation so we're just going to deal with it.

Yes, like the above poster said, adults who say things like "obvs, epic, cray cray, jelly, and crap like that. Basically, any grown woman who speaks like Rachel Zoe.

Re: Little things that send you into an insane rage???

Not a flying rage, but I hate when I'm served at a counter (Starbucks, bagel, etc) and I say thank you and they respond "no problem."

I didn't say it was a problem you serving me and doing your job. I'm simply thanking you because it's the polite thing to do.

What happened to "you're welcome"? The other part of that simple polite exchange???

See, that doesn't bother me but "Ok" as a response to thank you drives me nuts! I worked with a grown, educated woman in her 60's who otherwise had decent manners but she always answered thank you with "Ok" or "Alright". Like wtf is that??? It seemed like you were putting her out by thanking her. Drove me crazy!

eta- This doesn't send me into a rage but I hate getting asked if everything is ok. Another woman I work with asks me this multiple times a day. I *think* she just thinks she's being nice but it drives me crazy. Apparently I look pissed off all the time (resting ***** face I assume), which I totally realize but you would think after knowing me for years this woman would know that that's just my normal face. Everything is peachy. Drives me batty!

Re: Little things that send you into an insane rage???

Phrases such as:

"________ is EVERYTHING"

"I literally CAN'T EVEN"

"I'm dying"

"I'm sorry, but..."

I don't know why grown-ass women want to (not ironically) sound like Valley girls.

It just makes them sound stupid and/or bitchy.

YES! I always say thank you out of habit and good manners. Meanwhile, they should be the one to say thank you, you're keeping them employed.

Right now - people who don't clear the snow off the roofs of their vehicles and then it comes flying at me when I'm driving behind them!!!!! Although, I did get to have a little "ha ha on you" moment this morning when stopping for a red light and the snow on the roof of the guy behind me came sliding down the front windshield of his jeep

Last year I saw this happened to some idiot and she had to get out of her car on a busy road to clear off her windshield. She could have caused an accident because the light turned green, everyone went around here and there she is, stopped dead at a busy intersection with the light green. Hope she learned her lesson.
