Customer service people who talk too much...you dont need to know my name...really you dont at this stage becuase I am just inquiring...you dont need to know how my day is going..you dont need to know my phone number in case we get disconnected because lets face it you are not going to call me back anyway...and Then when we get through all of that nonsense and I find that for one reason or another you cannot answer my simple question and after wasting 20 mins of my life and you now have to transfer me to another department you then waste more of my time by thanking for for calling, telling me to enjoy the rest of my day, asking me if I have given you fantastic customer service and if you would be able to spare a few minutes to answer a survey on the customer service you receivedChat Icon

After I walk through a door, I hold the door open for someone (with my arm behind me, as I'm poised to keep walking after the door "handoff"), and they walk through without taking the door for me. I seethe.

OMG YES!!!!! Especially if they dont say thank you!

People who dont say excuse me when they need to get by, that REALLY pisses me off. Generally just people with no sense of space and the other people in it. Like a person in the aisle of a store who blocks the ENTIRE AISLE with herself and her cart at some weird angle, sees you standing there, doesnt make an attempt to move, then you say excuse me and they move like 2 inches.

Omg this happend to me and this woman finally acknowledged me and said can't you see I am looking at something. I almost lost my sh*t.

I hate being told "shhhh"

My mil coming over to my house with bronchitis. Like really!?!? And then has to call me to tell me to watch the kids now. Thanks for that.

Also, being told to smile and cheer up. I answer the damn phone allllll day long. And I don't need some smary salesperson telling me to cheer up.

DH snoring

People not saying thank you when I hold a door

People not holding a door for me when you had to have seen me right fking there

Obnoxious drivers

Men who treat their SO like a child in front of me. Makes me want to rip their balls off. Worse, when the SO just sits there quietly and takes it

People being excessively loud at a nice restaurant. Like to the point where other people can't have a conversation because you are screaming and cackling so loud the rest of the place can't interact w each other. Hellloooo, you're not the only people in the place and this isn't Applebee's.

When parents don't parent their children in public places.

KNOW IT ALLS!!! Omg. This one makes me furious.

There are so many. Maybe I should just live on an island alone lol

Not a flying rage, but I hate when I'm served at a counter (Starbucks, bagel, etc) and I say thank you and they respond "no problem."

I didn't say it was a problem you serving me and doing your job. I'm simply thanking you because it's the polite thing to do.

What happened to "you're welcome"? The other part of that simple polite exchange???

Wow, this rubs me the wrong way-- I think you're reading way too much into it.
I say "no problem! have a great day!" at work all the time & elsewhere... if I make DH dinner & he thanks me, I might say "no problem!"-- it may not be as formal as "you're welcome" but it means the exact same thing & he knows it.

It's common jargon now, the person is most likely not implying that it may have been a problem to help you with something & I am in NO WAY being rude or implying anything when I say it. If I didn't respond at all or grunted something without a smile, THAT would be rude. And if somebody ever commented on my "no problem" they'd get this: Chat Icon instead. Honestly, this makes it sound like you think you're somehow superior to the person serving you-- even though they are just "doing their job" they are still doing something for YOU.

This is making me laugh out loud (literally! And I
Mean that!)

So funny how all this gets perceived! I swear so many pisssed off people are probably all stomping around out there for absolutely no reason! It's like we are all just misunderstanding each other! Chat Icon

Little things that send you into an insane rage???

When someone tells me to calm down, especially if I wasn't making a big deal about something! It makes me crazy. That and when people don't say please and thank you.

People who don't clear snow off their cars.

Parents who don't watch their kids/let them run amuck with no regard to fellow patrons at museums, play places, etc. yes, I get it. Your kid is excited but so is mine and we have been waiting in line to see/do ____ so get your kid and back the hell up. Teaching your kid to wait their turn is a good thing.

People who can't walk and talk on their phones. If you can't handle that, get off the phone because your holding up grocery store traffic.

YES! And I know they are all just reading off a scrip somewhere in a tiny village in a far, far away land, but COME OOOON!!! And also, addressing me as Mrs.MyLastName every 2 seconds: THAT makes me want to reach through the phone and shake them up real hard!!! Just get me the INFO!

In the mean time, 20 minutes of my life just passed by and I still got no answers to the questions I called for!

YES! I always say thank you out of habit and good manners. Meanwhile, they should be the one to say thank you, you're keeping them employed.

see if I see the other side of this hahaha

I actually have said this! Sometimes I help my dad at his retail food store and I have a regular job also. I am in such a good mood working there because its fun and easy so Ill be like "thank you have a nice day!" and people will say thank you back and I say NO problem! I look at it as nice LOL Maybe I should stop saying that

"No problem" as a response doesn't bother me either. It's the lack of a response when someone says "thank you" that annoys me. The absence of manners and common courtesy pisses me off.

When people tell me to smile. I am not here for your entertainment! I have a severe case of RBF, and I have been hearing that my whole life. Now that I am an adult if I hear that I tell them to say something funny and that usually throws them off. That or a really scary fake smile Chat Icon

That and the phrase "not so much" makes me rage. It's so immature.

Re: Little things that send you into an insane rage???

The supermarket is usually the place where I decide that I want to leave society and go move to deserted island.
I get in SUCH a rage over the pure rudeness and selfishness of people.

Saturday night we stopped at the supermarket for a few items. It was a madhouse because of SuperBowl and the impending storm.
So I needed some frozen raspberries. We go down the aisle and there is a woman looking at the cool whip in the next freezer case. But she had her wagon blocking the frozen fruit case so I couldn't open the door. I wait. She gets out the cool whip and proceeds to read the label with her cart still blocking my way.
DH walks up and says to me, did you find the raspberries?
I say loudly, YES I found them! I can't seem to get to them though!
She looks up for a second, and then continues to read the label without moving.
I was about ready to take her cart and fling it out of my way, when she finally moved.

I told DH that one day it's not going to end well in the supermarket. One day I am going to wind up in a fist fight in frozen foods.

I just see RED!

LOL! Cannot stand that.

If the lady was my husband he would probably be waiting for you to say "excuse me, can I get past you for a moment?" He does this all the time.

Re: Little things that send you into an insane rage???

I HATE when people don't say "thank you"..when people don't say it I say "you're welcome" loud enough for them to hear me to get my point across.

I also hate when people don't say excuse me. If you need me to move then just say "excuse me" and I will glady say "oh i'm sorry" and get out of your way but if you just push past me all huffy I will definitely say loudly "you know the phrase excuse me does exist and it works!"

I do it to cashiers and service people too. If the don't say thank you or have a nice day I will say directly to them "you have a nice day too"..

I am never rude just direct.

I work in customer service in a retail setting and the older I get the less I care too about confronting people and their rudeness. Its bad.

Humblebraggers

And, ironically, people who fly into a rage too easily and too often. When it's happening that much, it's self-indulgent and immature.

You know the types--people who are ready to go at it--over anything--all the time.

I always wonder what made them so entitled/permanently angry.
