A Baby Brontosaurus story, too big for just a Kelly story (UPDATE on the Goldfish)
I introduced Goldfish as a snack about 2 weeks ago. He fell in love with them immediately. Sometimes he would come up to me with Goldfish in his mouth and I didn't know where he got them. I thought that maybe I wasn't cleaning the stroller out well enough.
HOW WRONG I WAS!!!!!!!!!
A few days ago I caught him 'hiding' Goldfish around the house.   He was moving around with the Goldfish, placing them behind books, behind bags, behind table legs, etc. It was as if he was a squirrel hiding his nuts for winter. 
You'd think the story would end there.
Then today he was taken out for a walk in his stroller with a few Goldfish. Since I am on crutches, I was looking for something to entertain him when we got back. He loves to climb, so I left the stroller next to me as he climbed all over it. Instead of him slipping down the stroller on his belly one time, he came down with more of a thud. He landed against my leg and layed there on his back for a second, just looking at me. Then a HUGE smile came across his face, while still laying on his back, and he raised his arm.
IN THAT HAND WAS A GOLDFISH!!!!!! He looked like a major league baseball player that made the catch of a lifetime. He was holding that Goldfish high in the air, as he layed there on his back. Then he placed it in his mouth, so proud.
He just turned one year old!!!!!!!! We are in big trouble.
Now tonight, as he lays in his crib, I look down at our gate. It separates the kitchen and living room. And this is what I see hidden in there:
I thought I found them all. I have been outsmarted.
UPDATE:
This morning he woke up, after a terrible night of trying to fight off a cold and went right to the gate. He grabbed the Goldfish, held it high in the sky, showed it to DHwith a big smile. DH then said he held both his arms in the air triumphantly (Like when 'Rocky' climbs all those stairs during his training.)
Then he ate it with the biggest smile!!!

I can bring over my "search dog" to find every hidden food item. My sister didn't realize that her kids were spilling so much popcorn until Oscar went to her house for a visit and found evidence behind the couch and under beds. My sister is obsessively neat and clean and we were all shocked that the dog came up with anything at her house. Oscar can meet Michael's challenge!!!!
