A different kind of birthday parade *added photos*
So I just want to say if your child has a birthday coming up and your planning a parade I highly recommend a "water gun" birthday parade.
My son turned 11 yesterday and I decided to change it up and invite his friends and the family to bring water guns to "soak the birthday boy."
It was so much fun and my son was a great sport about it. He had no clue about it. I mean he did think he was getting a parade bc we've been to so many, but didn't no he'd be soaked.
I told him we were going to go for a swim so put on your bathing suit, but first wanted to get a couple more pics in front on the house with the birthday sign and banner.
The cars came and his friends rolled down the window when they came up to the house and started spraying him. They came around 3 - 4 times. It was fun and different.
If your kid's a good sport and it's hot out why not. Some even threw water balloons too.

Im actually in North, NJ in Bergen County. But it is alot more expensive to love than when I moved here from Queens 13 yrs ago. We are actually looking to move to central NJ, he grew up in Plainfield. My husband wants land and a backyard. he gave me the city living long enough. Im kind of over it too, but I don't tell him that.

She's 16 now so not too far along.
The rest of my block is young and we love it. Culdesac and lots of kids same ages as my boys (11 and 8).
Yeah, I know N Jersey is pricey too. Especially Bergen. I do like central Jersey. Further from the city, but close to the beaches, Red Bank, Asbury Park, and Long Branch.
Good luck! I am seeing a turn over around here since the houses are from the 70's - 80's the original owners moving to the 55 plus and young families moving in.

Thanks for all the intel. I was waiting for my son to finish his 7th and 8th year, and lock down a job where I am remote part time. But with everything going on, it seems like we can probably move within the next year and I can just drive him to school his last year. If there is even school happening, I kid I kid
Glad you and your son got some Ice Cream cake. Did your DH have some?
