A few days into potty training and questions. Pls read
We are 4 days in and doing pretty well. Dd has had one or two accidents a day but will tell me when she needs to go. We are having a poop problem but from what I have read that seems normal.
But...
We are going to school on Friday and a restaurant on Saturday.
Do I do pull ups? The ride is about 20 minutes to the restaurant.
What do I do about nursery school?
She wears an overnight at night and pull ups for naps but is pretty much in undies or going commando all day.
Thx in advance.

When DD was potty training, I did not put pull ups on for any car ride less than 40 min. I just made sure that we did not leave the house until she went. I also did not put pull ups on for a trip to the restaurant. If she is telling you when she has to go, let her tell you at the restaurant. I bought a fold up potty seat for such occasions.
As for nursery school, ask what their policy is. At DD's school, I had to sign a contract that she wouldn't wear pull-ups during potty training. Initially, they put the diapers on for naps but that ended after a couple of weeks. I just had to make sure that I had extra clothes there for her in case of accidents.
Good luck!

We do not use pull ups so before we leave the house I make sure DS uses the potty. Then when I get to my destination I bring him right to the potty. Usually he won't need to go to the potty again until we leave (1-2hrs). At which time I'll bring him to the potty again.
My DS does better with potty training outside the house then he does inside.
I have no experience with daycare yet (my son is on the waiting list). They did tell me that as long as I tell them he is potty trained they will make sure he goes throughout the day.

I'm in the middle of potty training also. If we are going out somewhere that I am worried about an accident, I put on underwear with a pull up over it. this way she still feels if she goes (and hopefully she doesn't go) but the pull up protects against messing up her clothes or the car seat. I also try not to give her a drink in the car, which i used to do all the time. so far she has been really good.

I would try to go with just the panties if you can and put something down on the seat like a chuck pad/doggie pad to catch anything IF there is an accident. If you think it could be a problem (or it might be upsetting to them if you can't get your DC to the potty on the road in time) - you could put the panties on with a pull up OVER them. This way they won't pee all over the place IF you can't get them to a potty in time but they are in undies so they know they can't just go. I know several people who do this for long drives esp if they are going places it isn't to just pull over somewhere.

I would not put her back in pull ups.
Limit the liquid intake about an hour before the potty and just stay on top of her.
School is used to this and they will be very helpful.
I always keep a change of clothes and underwear in my car in case of accidents.
