btdt moms - questions about Potty training
My DD goes to the potty in school about 2-3 times a day and so far has had one accident there a day (its only been 2 days).
There seems to be a disconnect at home (maybe because there are not other kids doing it here). She doesn't tell me when she has to go - when I ask she always says no - but has had nothing but accidents at home.
So I am wondering should I just be putting her on the toilet right now instead of asking - about every half an hour or so?

I'm in the same boat....
She will tell teachers at school she has to go potty--but rarely tells us!
But she seems to be turning the corner
When we first started potty training both at home and at school we would put her on the potty like every hour.
It takes time, practice and patience...and lots of undies and wash!
Good luck!

Re: btdt moms - questions about Potty training
I am in the same position...I am just a broken record..."bella, do you have to go" and five minutes later "bella, do you have to go"
She has done very nicely at school and just OK at home. We keep the pull-ups on her right now because she is really against pooping on the potty and will just go in her pants(she has gone only did once at home because I caught her in mid push) and my DD still poops 2-3x day! But, she is better with the peeing. And I know she is completely capable at doing it now, so I am not going to press and disenchant her because she gets upset when I do.
So, I think it's just asking her over and over (and over)again. I feel her daycare is more focused on it and structured, whereas at home she is distracted more...
HTH!

Re: btdt moms - questions about Potty training
for some reason for us it is the opposite, she will go at home and not at school. At home we "reward" her with a m&m if she goes on the potty and I did ask them if they could do that there or just let me know if she does go and then I will give her one later. Maybe she knows she wont get it right away there?

Re: btdt moms - questions about Potty training
I say give it a few weeks. Just continue to ask her if she needs to go or just take her into the bathroom. Also don't confuse her by using pull-ups at home during the during the day.
We went through the same thing with Nate, He's really been doing well the last two weeks though. We stopped putting pull-ups on him in the car and on the weekends, which really seems to help. Most of the time I ask him every 15 -30 min if he has to go and he'll say "I went already." Recently, he started going on his own or saying he has to go. Now we just need to work on nighttime.
We also have the Potty Power DVD. He's watched it a few times and sometimes says he has "Potty Power" Not sure how much it has helped him, but other moms rave about it.
Good Luck!
