A little bummed...irritating situation vent
So DH and I decided to keep the name we chose for  a secret until he's born. We told my two best friends and that's it. Our families did not know and it was driving them CRAZY! i did enjoy that 
So last night my dad has some friends (women) over for dinner who couldn't make it to my baby shower 2 weeks ago. These women are from OOT, i see them once every 3 or 4 years and they do not know my friends at all. They get on the topic of names, and i say that we aren't sharing the name we chose...but that we aren't naming after DH, my father or my FIL. One of them looks at me and says, "I think the name is ______" and totally blurts out the name we chose!!!!!!! I have no poker face to begin with and i'm totally stunned that she came up with it (it isn't one of the top 10 or even 20 "popular names" but it isn't bizarre or anything). So i couldn't play it off at all and she starts yelling, "that's it, isn't it??! I got it!!" Like we were playing friggin jeopardy! and now my family knows the name we picked.
I know that she didn't "know" the name and didn't out me on purpose, but I kinda feel like she disrespected my wishes by pursuing it after I said I didn't want to share. And there are so many worse things to worry about and there's nothing i can do about it now but this really kinda irked me... 
Would this bother you too? Or am i being oversensitive?

That would totally upset me also!!!!! We told our family what names we were thinking of when we told them we were pregnant and now I totally regret telling anyone!! Everyone is so opinionated its ridiculous. Anyway I'm sure you could play it off like you were just trying to throw them off and tell them now it wasn't really the name.

I agree. She is not to be blamed for guessing the correct name, but she did disrepect your wishes and that would bother me too.
