a little concerned.....cervix related
I just got back from my appointment with the perinatologist. I go every 2 weeks b/c i'm considered high risk. Thankfully everything looked good for the most part but the Dr said my cervix has shortened a little bit. He said its still in normal range but its just a bit smaller than last time. So I have to go back in a week rather than 2 weeks. It has me a little concerned. Has something like this ever happened to anyone?

yes in my first pregancy. they put me on rest, but I literally had my feet up and barely moved from my bed/ couch and it was corrected 2 weeks later.

lisa, this is why i had my cerclage.. just keep on top of it, and if it shortens more next week when you see him, i would suggest getting the stitch too.. its better to have it than not.
its good that he is on top of it now though..

Is this the same thing as your cervix being very soft???
Mine seems to have gone very very soft and I feel very nervous tonight.

Thats a good question....I'm not sure if its the same thing as the cervix softening. I will ask the doctor when I go next Tuesday. I hope all is well with you too
