A Memorial Day poll...Do you fly a flag outside your home?
Do you own a flag? If so, do you fly it every day or just on holidays? Or do you not own one?
We have one and fly ours all the time with the exception of the winter months.

A flag is placed in each yard every Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans day.
We do have a flag. We do not put it out. We would have to take it in and out each day. We do not have a light set up to keep it overnight outside.

Yes! We fly it on most nice weekends (when we remember ) and one national holidays. We must have a patriotic street because most of our neighbors do and it looks so nice to see them up and down the road
Our flag is cool- my MIL wrote to our Congresswoman and got the flag that was flown on the Capitol building on our wedding day. Apparantly this is something you can do if you give them enough notice.

Erin-You definitely have that crisp flag flying out front type of home that would not be complete without it. Your house is complete Americana
We have one, need to buy the house attachment for it. The pole is really wide...I should hunt for one tomorrow.

Yes, my DH flys an American flag next to our door and an Irish flag near our garage, every day of the year with two exceptions. On St. Patrick's Day, he only flys the Irish flag and on July 4th, he only flys the American one.

Yes. We just bought one today and already put it out.
We bought our home in Dec, and it was important to us to hang our flag.
I'm happy we have it up.

We have one flag in a display case inside the house that my brother flew over in Iraq while he was serving there. That flag will never go outside. It's too precious to me.
We have another flag outside of the house at all times. I actually just replaced it a week or two ago because it was starting to fray.

We did until a big windstorm ripped the pole and the holder right off the side of the house. I want to put a permanent flagpole in the yard, but haven't gotten any estimates yet.
ETA: And we have a flag in a display box in the house that flew over the US Capitol on our wedding day.

We just got a flag and flag pole, but since we dont have a light on it yet, we only fly it on holidays and weekends since we have to take it down every night

We will next year as we are not home owners yet.
My father ALWAYS flew one for patriotic holidays - the one he got on my parents 25th anniversary in Hawaii that flew over the USS Arizona. dad was a WW2 vet and his service meant EVERYTHING to him.
