A teensy bit sad
I don't even know if sad is the right word... I saw a sign today at work that a co-worker (in another division) is having a baby shower. It's her first, and I had a shower at work for DS too. I'm really happy for her, but a little tiny bit sad that I won't have a shower/sprinkle for this baby.
I know she'll be spolied to pieces after she comes though!

I feel the same way LB. With #1 you get so much attention and there are so many fun things to plan. My family doesn't do sprinkles and I'm a waitress 2 nights a week, not in a full time office job this time so I know I won't be having anything. Its a little depressing.

aww I am sorry...I know how you feel. I actually feel the same way, work gave me a small sprinkle for this one, but my friends and family are doing nothing and I am a little hurt by it. My DH even had to do my big baby shower with my DS, b/c none of them helped with that one either. I thought maybe my friends would have stepped up the plate this time b/c back in oct there was some talk of oh we should do a little shower, but here I am at 37 weeks and I know they didnt follow through, (I didnt really expect it too anyway they tend to be all talk). Like you, I know after she is born she will be spoiled

It's totally ok to feel this way. My job didn't even throw me a shower for #1 but threw a coworker a shower for #4. So I know I won't be getting one for this child.
We should make our own little sprinkle! Everyone can bring something and put it in a grab bag.

I know how you feel. Even though one of my BFF's wanted to throw me a sprinkle I flat out refused knowing no one would come and if they did all they would say is how I was a spoiled brat for wanting more gifts. I am a SAHM so there is nothing from work..
