A very special birthday party review - with pics!
I just wanted to write a quick review because my vendors were really amazing!
I planned a surprise Marie-Antoinette style high tea birthday party for my Mom's 60th Birthday.
It was planned for the weekend of Irene(some of you might remember my post asking if I should cancel the party).
We had to postpone due to the weather. Well, last weekend we finally got to celebrate.
Chat Noir: B
The owner was very nice and very flexible which I love. We did high tea service which consisted of 3 tiers of goodies!
The first was scones,
second was finger sandwiches,
and the last was pastries. I added a half size salad(but her portions
are huge! So it really was a full size).
Guests had a choice of 3 hot teas and 2 ice teas. They were amazing!
My only issue was that they only went around once asking people if the wanted tea. I had to ask them to make another
round. I thought each table would get pots with the selections. But that could be my mistake.
The tea house is beautiful but very small. We were a party of 28 and we just fit.
Cake: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I used Julie from Fatty Cakes and Bakes. The cake was so delicious and so beyond gorgeous!!!
I will be getting all my cake from her now. I told her about the theme and this is what she came up with.

Cake topper: I made the cake topper so if I review myself then I get an A+++ LOL!
Cake stand: A
It came the day before the party. I was freaking out it wouldn't arrive on time. She said she didn't like the way the color looked so she made a new one and it was delayed because of that.
It was great and cheap!

Tissue Poms: A+++
I wanted to hang these from the cieling but there wasnt enough time and also the cieling was *just* a little
too high to use a stepstool. So I wound up putting them around the room.

Table runners:
I forgot the site but I bought them in white and then dyed them blue to match the theme.
Glass vases: I went to an antique store in PA looking for Fenton Milk Glass and they had a very large selection, until I bought it all up!
Flowers:
Lake Grove Florist A++++
Amanda was so great! I worked in a florist for many years. I'm picky about what I want lol
I told her my vision and she nailed it.
Chargers:
Bought at Michaels Craft Store
French Macarons: A+++ (No pics of these) I gave this a the favor but they were delicious. A royal pain in the a$$ because they had to be kept cool
but worth it!

Pashminas: A+++ I added these on at the last minute. Freaking over the French Macarons! Bought from Ebay.
Blue Fans: A+ From Ebay. They were great for the price and matched so well with the theme!
Invitations, Menus, favor tags: A+++++++++++++
I used Delightedparcels on Etsy. She was so wonderful and truly got the look I was going for.
I'm still getting calls about the paper at the party!

I bought mine first from a seller on etsy. When it came in the mail I fell in love! I had already bought one for my Mom but after seeing
Jacqueline's work I had to ask her to make one for my Mom. I was so happy I did. My Mom loved her fascinator! Jacqueline's work is stunning!

It came so quickly, the seller was awesome! And he didnt try to pull it off at all!

Napkins: I bought dinner napkins and had them embroidered by this seller on esty. She also did
the napkins for my wedding. Both times she was perfect! And super fast!

Table numbers: I bought frames and Homegoods and made the numbers using paper flowers and crystals.

you are so unbelievably gorgeous, as is your entire family
is it weird that i still look at your wedding pics and how beautiful they were too? (i feel like a stalker now..i promise i'm not  )

I'm DYING over every detail - after seeing your pictures on fb I told my mom I'm taking her there on Friday for lunch so I can book Natalie's birthday party. I dont even care that the service wasnt that great - the look of the place is just too perfect! I love love LOVE your milk glass vases - I have a small milk glass collection. Seriously, every detail is just perfection! I'll be picking your brain when we get closer to Natalie's birthday!
