A weird Christmas present question (religious based)
We are Catholic. Dh's Aunt converted to Judaism when she married almost 25 years ago. She is great, we love her but she is a bit strange.
She sent the kids for Christmas, 2 driedels. I thought this was a little strange. They are beautiful though, but what am I to do with them?
I was taken back I guess because I would never send her kids a Christmas ornament or anything like that and in fact, I go out of my way to send a Hanukkah card for the family.
I am not upset or anything, just a little confused by the present.

I guess I would save them and better yet...the next time she visits ask her to explain and play with the kids. For now I would keep them in a safe place.

I agree with Ang. It is a strange gift. I am Jewish and would never send something like that to nonjewish friends or relatives. Perhaps she meant to send them to someone else?

I agree that it's a weird present and I personally wouldn't send a christmas related item to a jewish family member or friend, but maybe she wants them to learn about Judaism?

Tie a string on them and hang them on your Christmas tree
