A CVS is a very low risk test. The pain is very minimal in fact I can't really even say that it was painful. It is more psychological.

I had a CVS; it is not bad at all and at least you will have accurate results, not just go by a screening. Good luck, all the best to you. Remember, even though 1 in 5 sounds high, it's still 4 in 5 that you WON'T have a downs baby!
