About how many packs of newborn diapers would you say you went through when you DC was born?
I had my shower a couple of weeks ago and got TONS of newborn diapers and I feel like I'm not going to use them all. Just wanted to see if anyone remembers about how many packs they used when there DC was born cause I want to know if I should exchange some of the packs for size ones. I also heard you get a ton of diapers from the hospital too. I'm having DC on Friday and we are looking at a 6 and a half pound to 7lb in change baby according to our last sono.

We never used any. They put DS in size 1s in the hospital so that's all we put him when we got home.

We never used any either...hospital started both of them in 1 & we went from there. He's 10 weeks & just out of the 1's about a week now.

DD#2 was 9lbs 3oz and never wore NB diapers or clothes.
When DD#1 was born(8 1/2 years ago, I do not think they even had NB size diapers)

My daughter was also a peanut when she was born and still is. She was 6pd 9oz at birth and two weeks ago she was 7pds 4oz still in newborn and just this week I started her in 1. She is 6 weeks

Never used the NB size. The hospital put DS in a Sz 1 right away....

Maybe half of a box of 80. Maybe even less then that. They didn't last us long at all. I would exchange them for size 1's and up. NB diapers are so small, they grow out of them so fast.

DS was 7 lbs and the 1s were huge on him. We used 3 big boxes (84 ct) of newborns. He was wearing newborns for the first month. Now at 7 weeks he is in size 1s.

We went through one pack of newborn diapers - and DS is small! He was in size 1 diapers until almost 6 months!

the hospital had Emma in size 1 from the get go.
when i got home - i used maybe 20 NB - but they were a little too small.
Emma's kinda in the middle - i WISH they had a 1/2 size between NB & size 1 - we are still folding down size 1 diapers to make them fit - but NB is way too small...

About 3 months worth of NB diapers for my teeny tiny baby.
I would wait until the baby is born before exchanging diapers.....you never know!

Just one small package of about maybe 30 I think, only because someone gave me a package for my shower. Then I went right to size 1.

DS wore NB for the 4 days he was in the hospital and 3 more days at home. We did not purchase any NB size - just used the ones the hospital gave us. He was 7 lbs 14 oz at birth and went down to 7 lbs 2 oz.

I believe the nurses in the hospital changed him a few times with NB diapers. One nurse said she was squeezing him in them so they switched to 1s.

Mattea was 6lbs 8 oz and "Small" in the beginning. I would say we went thru 2 1/2 Jumbo packs. Now at 11 wks she is HUGE LOL! We started her in size 1's about 2 wks ago....I would exchange them for bigger sizes!
