? About Restaurants in Italy - Globus Tour
I'm reading that on the tour there will be some time for dinners on our own and basically down time to do what we want by ourselves. I'm going to start looking into restaurants to try without the tour group - how do you make reservations? Is it easy to do online or do you have to call long distance...actually, (this is going to sound dumb) but do you even have to make reservations over there? Maybe they don't have the 2.5 hour wait like we do here at Cheesecake Factory LOLOL...
How is this done?

Honestly, we just walked around whenever we had free time and decided based on if we liked the looks of the place. I felt to rude but people eat outside a lot and if their food looked good we would eat there too. No big waits as I remember.

Same here - just walk around and see what you like. If there's a special place you've read about and want to try, then ask your hotel concierge to make the reservations or your tour guide once you're in the city.
I went on Globus tour in Italy in 02 - it was great! Have fun!

We have never been to Italy, but we went to France and some restaurants do require reservations. We made reservations at a place in the Eiffel Tower, but other non touristy places should not require them.
