Acid reflux-newborn
my dd is 3 weeks old and is EBF - my dr. told me to give her 1/2 teaspoon of mylanta up to 4x daily after giving her symptoms over the phone, he said she may need a prescription med if this doesn't work - I forgot to ask him when exactly to give the mylanta? before or after a feeding? if so, she feeds more than 4x daily, how do you pick which feedings? I'm confused-any advice is appreciated

Re: Acid reflux-newborn
My ds takes a prescription med for it but he gets it 3x a day. He eats every 4 hours so he gets it at 5 am, 1 pm, and 9 pm. We do it before every other feeding during the day basically. He is now 8 weeks old and has been on meds since he was less than 2 weeks old.
