I am prior military and the military supports McCain 3:1. WHat does that tell you?
Have you served?
First, had nothing to do with her post.
Second, it tells me, as it always has, that many in the military do not take the time to REALLY look at which party is actually advocating for them with benefits, both while they are active, reserve and eventually in vet status. As in civilian life, many servicemen and women tend to go along with what sounds good or "correct" to them, so really, the ratio is all about what info is being fed to them, just as it is on the outside.
And yes, I served. So don't impugn my opinion please just b/c it doesn't conform with yours.

I clarified what I meant. Her post said McCain would keep us in Iraq. My post says that the Military supports that, as well as I.
Having been in the military then you are quite aware of the diverse ethnicity's, cultures and religion of people all working as one. I am quite stunned that you would insult the intelligence of 100,000'a of people by generalizing that they are "fed" their opinions.
I could say the same thing about anyone who reads the NY Times but thats not true. I don't beleive it but I still read it.

Bush IS the reason we are in Iraq..God Bless him!
Speaking of vomiting in my mouth....
And if McCain were elected, he would be the reason we would stay in Iraq forever!!!!
Okay now I am really gonna be sick!
I am prior military and the military supports McCain 3:1. WHat does that tell you?

I have no idea what that has to do with what I posted?
Anyway I respect all who are and have served in the armed forces, but that does not mean they get to choose who our next president is, we all get a say, so from the polls McCain is behind, what does that tell you!
No the military doesn't pick the President and if McCain were to be elected (which yes he lagging in the polls) 75% of the Armed Forces currently serving would be happy to continue to serve in Iraq.
Oh so does not mean we should stay in a costly war that many beleive (myself included) we entered under false pretense. I don't think so!
I don't remember too many naysayers back when our towers collapsed and threats were continually made on US land.
The issue is some think we should stay and some think we should go. Obviously we disagree and my point is that 75% of the men and women in Iraq believe in what they are doing, are proud to be serving and think they should finish what was started.
Well then your memory fails you, because there were plenty of citizens that DID NOT want to go to war with Iraq.

seriously...wteffffff is going on here?
but for digressions sake, the military people I KNOW (and there are quite a few) are pretty much divided in terms of who they support.
and I actually agree with Liz about the information they get as would a few Sgts and officers I know.

seriously, without starting DRAMA, since congress has SUCH a low approval rate (i think i heard 18% today), WHY would we want a democratic president?
Ooooh I know!!!! Because a Republican was President during 9/11, Katrina, Iraq and record stock market crash!
I think I just vomitted in my Mouth!
So Bush called on the wind and rain for Katrina.
Bush was responsible for all terroists training to attack us when Clinton was President. (OH and we haven't had an attack since)
Bush IS the reason we are in Iraq..God Bless him!
And the stock market!!! Are you kidding, this stuff doesn't happen overnight or in 8 Years!
Please remember what the job of Congress and tell me what they have done this past year!
And remember whats called "Checks and Balances".
PS- this is why we shouldnt have a democrat as president; the democrats are all in the house and in the senate; theyll all vote the same way- all this coming from someone who votes for People, not Parties, and who is actually registered as a democrat...
