It's sickening that all the conversation right now is were you prepared, did you practice for this, did you have security, did you ever think this would happen. It's beyond sad that that's what we've come to.
Thankfully they at least have the shooter apprehended.

Nassau Co cops are always at the synagogues in the 5 towns. Clearly for good reason.
I have the same feeling in my stomach as after the church massacre. They are just sitting ducks. Not bothering anyone, just praying. What a pos you have to be, evil and psycho to the core, to take out these folks.

Ours does too, but only for the high holidays. This was a normal Shabbat Saturday morning service. Not to mention the shooting took place during a baby naming. How unbelievably horrific.

I’m so sick over this. Those poor people I can’t even imagine how terrifying that must have been. Families torn apart by hate.
When willl enough be enough? America is absolutely sick and insane! It’s supposed to be the greatest country in the world yet we have the most gun deaths. It’s common place to have mass shootings and no one does anything. I’ve said every time after Sandy hook if they did nothing than they never will. We should all be ashamed!

97 years old and this is how she dies
It’s horrific
A husband and wife
And many more
So so so devastating
My husbands grandparents (which I consider mine as well) are in their 90s and are holocaust survivors. They attend Shabbat service every single Saturday. It very easily could have been them.
It has to stop :(

This whole story makes me sick.
I literally do not understand how people have the time or the care to actually HATE how other people are practicing religion, politics, parenting or other life activity. If you have a lot of spare time, get a real hobby. Build model cars, surf, bike, read, do something to fill your time and focus your energy on besides HATING what other people are doing. Who cares?! These people are so demented.

We need to come up with a greater task force or monitoring system for social media. Maybe this can be a preventive measure to catch these vile people.

I think this could be a good first step and seems doable.
Also, there has to be a way to get to these maniacs family and friends. If you know someone who is this demented & full of that much hate, you may be able to have them checked out by law enforcement. I just don’t know how you get through to these people who have the ability to try and stop these things from happening.
