Active shooter reported in San Bernardino, California

(CNN)The San Bernardino Fire Department is responding to reports of a "20 victim shooting incident," the department said on Twitter.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department tweeted that there was an "active shooter in the area of Orange Show Rd/Waterman Ave near Park center." It urged people to avoid the area.




They are reporting 12 confirmed dead

The San Bernardino Fire Department tweeted that it was responding to a "20 victim shooting incident" and it was working to clear the scene.
It is still a "very active scene" and police are trying to secure the building, said a spokeswoman from the San Bernardino Police Department.
There may be up to three gunmen she said, and the shooters were heavily armed and possibly wearing body armour.
She did not confirm the number of victims.

supposedly three shooters wearing body armor. And they escaped in a black SUV.

It's just a sick world, it really is. This was a center that helped people with developmental disabilities from what I understand. I'm so sad for the victims and their families :(

Animals. They are animals.
Animals may be too good of a word because my animals have more heart.

What I will never understand is ...

These killers are someone's sons, brothers, cousins, etc. you mean to tell me their family or close friends never noticed that their loved one may be a psychotic animal??? People don't just wake up a ******* nut job murderer. Unless it's a terror thing, I'd say these animals used to torture cats as kids

I just said to DH and I can't believe this terrible thought crossed my mind- what type of mother would I be bringing a child into this sick world? It's really making me questions my choices to have a child . I am so devastated for every life affected by these sick people. I am so sad

Absolutely sickening and horrifying. The thing that scares me the most is I honestly do not see how this kind of thing could possibly be stopped. In the end if sick fuks want to kill people, they will find a way to do it. I feel so helpless and hopeless.

You're not alone. I have 2 little girls and I feel awful that this is the world they will grow up in. My oldest dd is 5 and she tells me all about the lock downs they practice in school. 26 students huddled in a bathroom trying not to make a sound. It breaks my heart. I am not ashamed to say I've shed many tears this year watching her bus pull away while I pray for her safe return. I wish there was somewhere we could move to get away from this all but I know there isn't anywhere safe.

MSNBC is stating 14 people dead, 17 injured. Female and male suspect are dead. Third person has been detained but they aren't sure if they had anything to do with the shooting.
