The fact that it's not even surprising anymore is what scares me the most
The BBC kicked off the story on their broadcast basically saying, "Just another day in America..." So apparently it's not surprising to the rest of the world either.
There have been more shootings than days in the year in 2015.
If 20 six year olds being obliterated doesn't change things, then nothing will.
I don't know what it is, but this one finally cracked me. I am so angry.

You're not alone. I have 2 little girls and I feel awful that this is the world they will grow up in. My oldest dd is 5 and she tells me all about the lock downs they practice in school. 26 students huddled in a bathroom trying not to make a sound. It breaks my heart. I am not ashamed to say I've shed many tears this year watching her bus pull away while I pray for her safe return. I wish there was somewhere we could move to get away from this all but I know there isn't anywhere safe.
My dd is also 5 and just told me she had a drill like the one you described and I started to cry. I felt awful. My dd was asking me why I was crying. Its just so terrifying you never know when or where this shit can happen
I work in a school and every time we have a drill like this I cry

There were even bombs planted linked to a remote control car, that didn't go off. The shooters are both dead after a police chase. They have not ruled out terrorism.

Bizarre story. I would bet she was manipulated to participate in this massacre. Disgusting human beings. Glad they are dead. So sad for their victims.

I also read that they have a 6 month old child. Seems odd that someone would go into that knowing there's a possibility that you would leave your child an orphan.

They dropped off their 6 month old at the wife's mothers and said they had a dr appt. poor baby is now orphaned.

That baby is better off being orphaned than having those two pieces of shit for parents. I am incensed at this. Disgruntled???? so we all have our disgruntled days and we are pissed off at work SO WHAT? the only difference is that I do not have an arsenal of weapons in my home. And there we go again - back to the firearms and no control and no one cares and on and on and on we go.
As far as I am concerned when 20 6 year olds were shredded to pieces in their classrooms and this society did NOTHING!! then there is no hope for us and this will continue and there will be another sandy hook and we will all be sad again and nothing will happen.
I HATE that I am bringing my kids up in a society who basically does not give a shit about their own.

A mommy from my April birth group, her husband was in the party. He's still,unaccounted for. She's assuming the worst now. Her sweet baby girl is 20m like my daughter. I'm heartbroken for her. And sick that she still has no official word

Yes, that's my issue. I have never heard for a shooter that the shooter was Christian, for example. Did they even report that for the Planned Parenthood shooting? I haven't been paying attention to that story.

It has been mentioned that he is a Christian, if only because the cop he killed belonged to the same church as he did.

I honestly don't know what we can do to stop these maniacs.
This world terrifies me.
I recently attended a conference at my son's daycare on how they will handle these types of situations if one occurred and I nearly had an anxiety attack just listening to the plan and how the teachers have been coached. It's a very scary world that we live in.

There is no way that this was just a case of workplace violence. A person who gets mad at work doesn't leave and comes back with his wife in body armour to shoot everyone and have bombs in their apartment. Wouldn't the wife try to calm him down rather than leave her baby and possibly get killed? I know we don't have all the facts BUT, I think we all need to stop being so politically correct. It's important to know they are Muslim bc that could point to radicalism. Of course MOST Muslims are good people but right now, the world is having an issue with the small number of Muslims who are not good people. We can't be naive to that fact.
