Activities for 6 week olds ...
This may seem silly but what activities did your 6-week old enjoy? I feel like all Vincent does is eat, sleep and hang out in my arms. He does like his crib soother and mobile. But other 'toys' and the activity mat he has no interest in. I feel like I am not doing 'enough' to stimulate him ... are they supposed to be entertained at 6-weeks or is it still early for interest?

Re: Activities for 6 week olds ...
I remember thinking the same thing....Jack must think I am soooo boring! LOL.
Honestly - nothing. Does he watch Baby Einstein? Jack loved that from early on. Tummytime - kept him slightly occupied (for about 5 mins or so) but he really hated it!
Oh - the bouncy seat - the Fisher Price one - he loved to look at the lights on that one really early on.
Other then that - I got nothing for you mama!

Re: Activities for 6 week olds ...
At that age there's really not a lot you can do.
I did a lot of "girl talk" with my DD. I would sit on the couch with my knees up and prop her up against my knees facing me. We'd sing, talk, read my magazines together, etc.
I put her on the activity mat. She didn't do much, but she would look at all the animals, colors and patterns. I'd do tummy time - I would lay her down and lay down on the floor on my belly and make faces at her.
I'd rotate her between the bouncy, swing, my lap, the floor, go for walks (weather permitting) etc.
That's all I can remember right now! Hope that helps

Re: Activities for 6 week olds ...
I swear we all post this exact same thing about the exact same time. Its funny.
BUt honestly, I did what your doing and not much more. I would read to him or sing to him or tickle him but not much else.
Go for walks, play music.
They are not really a participant in their envirnoment yet, your doing all you can do.
Its boring to US I think, not them

Taylor didnt do too much at 6 weeks. She sat in the soothing vibration seat or the swing or in someones arms. She ate, slept and pooped.

Re: Activities for 6 week olds ...
he's so-so with baby einstein .. which one do you recommend ... so far I did shakespeare and neptune and they were 'eh' ... He likes when the puppets pop up on the screen only, not the real pictures. So 5 minutes for tummy time is good? Glad to hear .. he'll do about that.
I was laughing as I typed my question because I know I am such an over-reactor and before I panicked I figured I would ask all of you.

I think we have the Mozart one -- we've been using that one since day one - and he still is intrigued by it (TWO times a day....sometimes three if I have lots to tell you girls on LIF)

Re: Activities for 6 week olds ...
I'l try that one. Someone bought me the whole collection so I've been picking them randomly, but the ones I played seemed for older babies.
