Acupuncture and FET/ recommendations
Anyone do acupuncture with a FET? I had a failed IVF last cycle with a low BETA. I'm thinking about doing acupuncture soon to help with my FET next month.
I know a lot of you recommend Andy in RVC? Price? Is he very knowledgeable about IF issues?
I also know people recommend the Wellness Center in East Meadow. Thoughts? Price?
Anyone else you recommend? I'm in eastern nassau.
So in my research I came across this site: http://www.acupuncture-fertility-ny.com/index.htm Its for Accupuncture-Fertility NY. They specialize in acupuncture for IF and are in Jericho and NYC. It might be odd but I feel like going to someone Chinese for acupuncture might be the way to go. Thoughts? I called and spoke with Dr. Yang. She was nice and informative. She said IVF and FET is their specialty. Asked about my failed cycle. She said we need to cleanse me since I had the chemical pregnancy and increase blood flow to the uterus for the FET. She seemed very knowledgeable and answered my questions. Only thing is the consult is $125 which includes the acupuncture session and then every other appointment is $85. Anyone use her? Thoughts?
Thanks for your help!

Definitely Andy!!! He is amazing! I used him for this IVF cycle. He is extremely knowledgeable and specializes in IVF, IUI cycles. He is $75 for the first visit and then $65 each additional visit. It definitely adds up but I do recommend trying it. I only went a few times before my retrieval and then transfer. Some women keep up with it for months.

I used Andy for many IUI'S and my fresh and finally frozen cycle. He is amazing and very knowlegable! Prices were what the above poster mentioned. I paid out of pocket but it was totally worth it! Love him!

Thanks ladies. Wow you guys really like Andy! My insurance doesn't cover acupuncture but $65 doesn't sound so bad. What are his days/hours? Phone number? He is kinda far for me but I could make it work. I know he is in Syosset at Dr. Palter's, I wish he took outside patients there too. When you first call him do you tell him why you want acupuncture and then he suggests when you should start?

Please we stick ourselves with injections needles all the time this to me was a piece of cake. They don't hurt. Some have more of a sensation then others. Trust me if I can do it anyone can. ;)

Yes he does a consult first time before treatment. I told him you left him a voicemail - he should call you back by tomorrow. Can I just reiterate how much I love him??!!

I saw him too, for a couple of years!
As for Insurance, I don't believe they bill under acupuncture because I don't have coverage for that. I think they code it as pain management or pain relief, some how. Again, I think because he is an MD they can work around it. I only paid a copay.
