Adding Rice Cereal to bottle- nipple question

ive just started adding rice cereal to my 3 month old dd bottle. i bought the Y cut nipple but it appears like only very little comes out and my dd has to work soooooo hard to get it out that winds up fussing and crying or pushes bottle out and cries. Shes VERY hungry during all of this as well. Sometimes she just gives up after struggling and crying for so long that she falls asleep. It doesnt even appear that shes getting a lot. AT ALL. Bottle still looks pretty full.
i also bought medium and fast flow nipples to see if those work better. so far tried medium and that didnt work at all.

It doesnt even appear to be THAT thick that it cant come out or give such issues coming out but apprently it must be. I can adjust how much cereal I put in, but the whole point is the Dr wants it thicker so it doesnt come back up on her (very bad reflux)

this is only 1 day of this but any recs? i tried cutting 1 nipple a lil bit to try to get more out but i must have cut too much cause WAY too much comes out. this causes her to eat WAY too much too fast and she spits up. and then just wants more and more. she def uses bottle to sooth herself.

do i leave this Y cut nipple alone and see if she eventually learns to suck a lil harder or for longer to get milk out?

I use playtex nurser bottles with the liner..

We used oatmeal and not rice when we added it the bottle and went up a size in nipples. that seemed to do the trick.

We also switched over to the formula with the added rice starch as it was already in there and you didn't wind up with clumps.

Sometimes' we'd have to use a mixer to make sure there were no clumps also.

I had no problem using Y cut dr browns bottle. We normally used Avent, but when we added the oatmeal to a few bottles, we used dr browns. Maybe try thinning it out a bit, trying oatmeal instead and a diff brand bottle.
