Adenoid removal = better sleeping
If your child had his / her adenoids removed, did he or she sleep better after the removal?
We have sleep issues and it has been determined that dds adenoids are totally impaoring her breathing and need to come out. Its been mentioned a few times that this could totally improve our sleep issues. While i would love love love to belive that, i cant help to be skeptical.
Any positive stories to share about recovery from surgery and sleep mprovement?

My brother had his adenoids removed and his sleeping definitely improved. GL if you decide to go through with the surgery!

Re: Adenoid removal = better sleeping
For children, one of the things they do to fix sleep apnea is removing the tonsils and adenoids. They don't for adults, but for kids, this is definitely one of the common options.

Re: Adenoid removal = better sleeping
we had my son's adenods removed at 15 months and for a few months it helped his sleeping
at 2 years we had his tonsils removed and now he is sleeping great - we did it only for sleeping - never had tonsilitis or strep throut
our ent would not take tonsils out under 2 so 2 surgeries
tonsil recovery was very hard - adenoid recovery is very easy
but also be forewarnned if they get a lot of colds they can get post natal drip that can cause a cough - it happened to my son - when he just had his adenoids removed
also mattering on age adenoids can grow back - just a possibility
