adoption questions
DH and I have been trying for a baby for almost 3 years. Although this hasn't been as long as it has for others it feel like an eternity for us. It has been one failed IUI after another. We have talked about adoption and seem more interested in international adoption. However the whole process scares me. I have read many horror stories about the home check and I'm so afraid that the social worker will tell us we are in debt and can't afford a baby and mark a giant DENIED on our file. Our insurance hasn't paid for anything in regards to infertility which has made our financial situation strained. Any advice or support would be great! Also how do you ladies afford adoption!?!

Re: adoption questions
Adoption is not cheap. But the good thing is that, different payments are made at different times. That way, you have the chance to save up the money. For us, the whole process took two years so we were able to save up during that time.
My advice is that you research and meet with different agencies to see which one best meets your needs.
Although, adoption agencies do look at finances, that's just one piece of the whole puzzle. they look at you as individuals and your family as a whole.
all the best on your journey
