Advice about Car Seats and Swings
I think I may need to retire the swing and infant seat.
It's been 2 months since we have been to the doc (we go again on Thursday), and at 4 months-- Sasha was 25 1/4 inches long.
I don't think she anywhere near the weight threshold, but she is one tall glass of water. Her feet seem to be almost at the end of the seat-- I would bet she is almost 29 inches-- the height threshold for the Snugride.
Same thing with the swing-- but to be honest, since I always put her down for naps in her crib, I barely use it now anyways. I want to get rid of it because it takes up valuable space-- but I am afraid to move it out here! It's a crutch.
Think it's time to get rid of both? I can't believe I am moving on already... my little girl is so big.
ets- CAR seats, not CARD. And I re-read my post a few times. I need more sleep.

Re: Advice about Card Seats and Swings
DS is 5 months and VERY rarely goes in the swing. I am dying to get that thing out of my family room.
I was thinking the same thing as you about the infant carrier (at 4 months he was 25 inches and 18 lbs!!!). He is getting bigger and heavier by the day, and I don't know how much longer he will last in it. I just love that it is SO convenient for when he falls asleep in the car and I am going to do some shopping!

Re: Advice about Card Seats and Swings
I still use the swings and the infant carriers at 7 months, but my babies are peanuts.

Re: Advice about Card Seats and Swings
DD hasn't been in the swing since about 4.5-5 months and we retired the infant carrier at 6 months, at her 7 month appt she was 28 1/4 inches, our height threshold was 30inches, and she was getting ultra uncomfortable in the seat....

Re: Advice about Car Seats and Swings
I just put away our swing and replaced it with his Jumperoo. DS is still using his infant seat, but ours goes up to 30lbs. That is getting heavy as well, and DS feet are at the end.

Re: Advice about Car Seats and Swings
DD is very tall. I still use the swing every few days to let her chill out for a bit. She is an animal and tries to rip the fishies off the mobile though LOL.
The infant seat I plan on switching by the time I return to work in Sept so she will be 7 months. I never take it out of the car anymore UNLESS she is sleeping and I put her in the snap and go....I will so miss that thing!
