Re: Advice on giving up pacifier/waking up 10 times a night to put it back in?
Thanks everyone! We are using the Nuk pacifiers, not the Soothies (I agree, they fall out IMMEDIATELY!!!!), so the Wubbanub wouldn't work for us.
We tried a big bottle last night followed by bath, and a white noise machine in his room (he's been in his crib in his room since 7/8 weeks), and it was SLIGHTLY better--only a few times as opposed to the 10 of the night before, but baby steps, right?
I also had a stomach bug this week which contributed to my feelings of frustration!
We are trying to get him to suck his fingers (you should see me and DH walking around sucking all day to show him how!), and he'll do it sometimes, but definitely prefers the pacifier when he's really exhausted or upset.

TBH, I wouldn't have DC suck their fingers.
The ONLY reason I needed braces was because I sucked my fingers/thumb. Pacifiers are orthodontic AND you can break the habit easier (can't cut off a finger )
