ADVISE PLEASE, Chloe Seems To Have Hurt Her Foot and/or Ankle
I cannot believe this, Chloe was playing and somehow hurt her ankle or foot--hard to get her to explain and won't walk on it for the past hour. It's NOT swollen at all and we iced it. She stood on it but won't walk. Not sure if she is "acting a bit" now that we made a big deal of it, although it doesnt seem like it. Just GREAT! We decided to give it a few hours to see if maybe the soreness will go away. If not, I guess DR in the AM:(
But...which DR? Our pediatrician can't do anything for a sore foot or ankle, right? Where would they send us if need be? There is definitely nothing broken, but something is bothering her!

What about taking her tonight to PM peds or a place like that. I think they do xrays there (check their website I thought I saw that they were capable of xrays and splinting).
I'm sorry she got hurt - hope it is nothing and she is better soon.

That is where I was thinking of taking her but I spoke to a family friend who is a massage therapist and knows TONS about bones and such and she said If there is no swelling which there isn't that I should just leave it alone for the night. Hummm..
Thank you:)

I know it is really hard to know when to go and when to not go- I know people who had no swelling but ended up with a tiny stress fracture. But if she isn't that bad you could see how she is and go tomorrow - but then you would have to wait until later to go to PM peds or would have to go to an ortho to get xrays if you need it. She might very well wake up just fine tomorrow - I would go with your mommy instinct. If you are worried take her if not let it go and see how things are in the morning.
Hope she is better soon
