affordable 3rd birthday locations?? (under $500)
I had decided we would not gove Ryan a 3rd birthday party - and get him a nice swingset for the yard. Now he keeps asking about his party - assuming he is getting one. So, guess we're doing both but I don't want to break the bank. So were can we do something reasonable? I don't want to spend $800...again
I am considering McDonalds if I find one I like Other ideas? I was also considering having the fun bus at home but we are putting an addition on the house and I don't know that it will be done in time because it depends on the weather TIA

We did Thomas' 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up and LOVED it!!! The price will depend on how many kids you have. The staff did an awesome job and the place was the nicest inflatable place that I've seen and I've been to quite a few. T loved it so much he wants his 4th party there again!

You can do it at the RVC rec center and it's really cheap. I think it was like $125 and you supply the pizza & cake. It's also good if you have a wide age range because it's unstructured.

That is where we did his 2nd and I spent more than intended LOL I think I had 20 kids and between the party, buying way too many pies at Gino's, cake, an Elmo costume (LOL) and personalized favors that added up to like $12 each, we came in way more than a few hundred
I should say, the bounce parties freak me out. I don't think I can go that route and have never seen him really enjoy them

I'm noticing a trend here. I think you should bite the bullet in the future and stop trying to not plan a party.
I'm really not having a party for Elizabeth this year. Just family and day care parties. As long as there's cake she won't know the difference.

I had planned on doing this before I came up with the swingset idea. For a group of 20 kids - you're def looking at $750 range.

That was my game plan - you know that!
But family-wise, he wants my little sister (she'll be 6 around E's bday) and his cousins who live in London.
I got a whole speech this a.m. about how he wants a birthday party and his cousin there - that's two strikes for me since I didn't plan on a party, and I aint flying in anyone from London in March

I wouldn't mind doing that if I could host them in my house but, once again, I think we'll be mid-construction.
I'm not sure who I would be either - he's more into Fresh Beats and shows like that - I'd have to dress as Marina or Kiki

Re: affordable 3rd birthday locations?? (under $500)
DS went to a few party at Cool Crafts on Hemp tpke in Levittown. Its cute....def more affordable than some of the other places. Not as "much" stuff for them to do but the kids always seem to have a good time. They painted ceramics (DS did a car, a skull and a batman i think) dance, play video games, eat pizza, and do some more games etc.
