After 29 years....
I got my first pet
we adopted a 4 year old white perisan cat
he is so cute- he looks fake, like a stuffed animal
tomorrow he is going to the groomer for a lion cut- then I will take pics
he is still alittle freaked out now- so I didn't want to scare him even more
we named him cro cat- after a pride fighter that is fighting in the UFC for the first time next weekend

we are still trying to get him out from under the end table in the living room- he is so scared still
I feel so bad for him- he went from a basement apartment with 4 hairless cats- and not alot of windows
to our highrise apartment- with huge sliding glass door, no other cats
and most importantly- no ciggerette smoke ( when we pet him- his fur releases smoke smell- poor guy)

It took about a week for our cat to get used to our new apartment. She hid under the couch for a while. We just kept a food dish and some water close by and the litter box out in the open. She's perfectly fine now, and she loves looking out the widows at birds and bugs. I'm sure your cat will too!
Congratulations on your new addition!! I was always a dog person until I started dating DH and he had a cat. They can be so loving and playful when they get to know you.

we took the food and water over to him- and put the litter box right there also
I am hoping he feels alittle better after getting groomed tomorrow- he apparently loves to get the lion cut and show it off
this cat could not be anymore perfect for me

On a diff. topic, did Jake see Pros vs. Joes on Spike last night? The Joes had to get into the octagon with Chuck Lidell. I felt so bad for those guys, although you could tell Chuck was going easy on them.

On a diff. topic, did Jake see Pros vs. Joes on Spike last night? The Joes had to get into the octagon with Chuck Lidell. I felt so bad for those guys, although you could tell Chuck was going easy on them.

yep- we watched it- they were all getting killed- and Chuck was so not trying- Jake was annoyed that joe's didn't try to learn anything about fighting

Yeah, even though he wasn't trying, those guys still looked like they were hurting. I'm just amazed at the strength and ability of those fighters. It's insane.
ETA: (now that we're talking UFC, do you think this will get moved to Sports???)
