After how many days of a fever do you call the pediatrician
to schedule an appt?
I feel like I always bring her too soon, and then they are like its just a virus...blah blah.
She's had a fever since Sunday (well Monday really) middle of the night. On and off... gets worse at night. No coughing... sneezing a few times... nose not really runny. But DH has a cold.. and I had one about a week ago.
When do you think I should call?

How old is DC and how high is the fever? Any changes in eating/drinking? Diapers? Any tylenol/motrin?
Could it be teething?

how high is the fever? low grade...under 100 I would not call without any other symptoms. anything over 102 I call and have him seen,...for piece of mind...

Oh should have added that... sorry
She is almost 3...eating and drinking fine.
Fever in the middle of the night was around 103 both nights... during the day it ranges from 99-101.

my Ped says a virus usually runs its course in five days and to call on the 5th day of fever to be seen, or if its over 104.5 and not lowered with meds
( and or comes back that high) .
We tend to get a lot of fevers here. Noah seems to get no symptoms but fever and he often will run 103-104 for 2-3 days and then be fine.

Ya know... I tend to wait myself, however being that I'm 38 weeks pregnant on bed rest and ready to have this baby any day, I am just being more cautious incase it's something that I can't see... like strep or something like that.

Anything 101 or above, i call after 24 hours. Anything over 103.5 we go right in.
It's ALWAYS a "virus" though.
