air drying a down jacket
Do you absolutely have to use 3 tennis balls on low setting? Or can it ""repuff" up just air drying?

I've always just washed and dried as normal.

Re: air drying a down jacket
Air drying a down jacket is not recommended b/c the feathers can clump together or not dry properly. Mold can grow inside if it stays wet too long.
If you don't use the tennis balls, the jacket may not fluff back up properly. You can also use sneakers.
Or, just bring it to a dry cleaners.

Once it dries it'll be fine. I washed them all the time. Especially when we found out about Covid. Air dry, delicates or low heat it's fine. I do use one dryer ball, but don't think it made a big difference.
