Air Train JFK
Is this pretty easy to navigate? My mom has a 14 hour layover here and I won't be able to pick her up until about 3 hours after her flight. I figure she can take the train out in the amount of time.
Are there signs, etc...directing her where to go?
TIA

Re: Air Train JFK
Just an FYI - I was just at JFK on Tuesday night. They were making announcements that the Air Train is not in service right now. They are using buses in the mean time.

Re: Air Train JFK
I think I'm going to try this on Saturday. How long is the ride from Jamaica to JFK?

You will see it at Jamaica because it's running between there and Federal Circle. At Federal Circle you have to transfer to a bus.

it says on the site that the Air Train is working only from JFK Federal Circle to Jamaica. Her mother would have to take a bus from her terminal to Federal Cirlce and then get the Air train from there. This will take longer than if the Air Train was working directly from the terminals.

if this is the case...then i think i would take a cab from JFK to Jamacia Station. I think that would be less of a hassle than taking a bus, the air train, then the LIRR
