Allergic reactions?

My husband is in the hospital and is having an allergic reaction to the medications.

It started with a rash, now hives all over and his face it completely swollen

they are treating it, but i was wondering if anyone has had this happen and how long it takes to go away

it happned to my dd. she was only 3 at the time but it was a reaction to penicillian. she had had penicillian before, but my doctor said someone can get an allergic reaction the first time they have a med or the 100th time. it started as a rash as well and then terrible terrible hives and welts from head to toe. it took a week to go away and she was 100% back to normal. and for a speed recovery for your dh.

his face is still swollen, but i think its getting better

dr. said it will take at least a week
