Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
Today was my 1st time there...ever!
My mom shopped there for me and my brothers as kids, and raved about it!
I was sooo disappointed in there boys clothing... I found nothing more than typical TJ MAX stuff in the toddler boys section and found the baby boy/layette section very very small (and overpriced)
I left with nothing...
Although I fell in love with a bunch of girls things, and almost left with some things for my niece but figured I should probably take care of my baby first
Ill take a trip to the outlets over Dennys any day!

I used to stop by the Commack store from time to time and never found anything special for Roman or Clover I couldn't find elsewhere for a lot cheaper. No big deal to me.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
I agree. Way overpriced, even their sale racks and the clothes were nothing great. I'd prefer TJ Maxx or Kohl's clearance.

I have been there once - their clothes aren't really the style I like for kids.

I really don't like it there. I think it's overpriced and I don't really like the style of the clothes.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
For a sale I will check them out but I stopped going as part of my regular shopping. I do see handfuls of nice things but not so nice price tags. I can't afford to shop there. I do better at TJMaxx and Century 21.
But so many people I know shop there and their kids wear really nice things...maybe I should shop with them.

We go through The Great Denny's Debate every few months here . I happen to like it but not everything they have is worth their prices.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
HUGE fan of Denny's for my son and daughter. I do great at the sales and they carry alot of brands that other other stores don't. The only brands I have ever seen at Denny's that you can also buy at TJ Maxx are the puma, nike and adidas outifts
Century 21 is also a great store with better prices.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
Not a fan at all. I find alot of their little girl outfits very gaudy or "frou frou" like Stacey said... and wasn't impressed with their boy section either....

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
I agree. I don't know what all the hype is about. But honestly I'm a Carters kind of girl and I find Denny's clothing a little out there for me. I like traditional clothing for kids.
And there prices....

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
I also was not impressed at all. I only went once - when DS was an infant and I was hoping to find tons of great, original stuff and really there was nothing better than you would find at nordstroms or bloomies or L&T and it was just more $$$. Girls stuff was better there though...

I thought the clothing was horrific. I walked in and walked out within 2 mins.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
Can I afford to "shop" there regularly? No. If I have coupons or shop sales, I can do very well there. I kind of feel that Denny's is a store for Grandmothers to indulge upon their grandchildren and for special gifts. My mother always shopped there for gifts for kids because she could afford to. I can't. We had an appointment to do my layette there before she passed away. I took my sisters, my brother's wife and my MIL there and we did it in her honor. It was a bittersweet day, but something she looked forward to like a rite of passage for me.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
I also was not impressed with Denny's at all. To me, most of the clothes looked like leggings and t-shirts (albeit a bit "dressier") but that style nonetheless. I went one time and only got a summer dress and a bathing suit for Marron (on sale). If I'm going to spend alot of money, I'd rather do Janie and Jack or Wooden Soldier or something like that.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
i got the layette from there (mil gift), and that stuff was really cute... however, i noticed that the girls section is so much better then they boys, i went there recently as my mil continues to rave about it, and left with nothing....i really prefer oshkosh, children's place and even carters...plus he outgrows the clothes so fast...i need to try century 21, have not been there.

Re: Am I the only one not impressed with Dennys?
LOVE LOVE the clothes there...
It's what makes the world go round...
I dislike most of the stores that people shop at, so c'est la vie.
Some people think Denny's is horrific, I think Carters is horrific
