Dh and I made this on Saturday. I thought it was pretty good, but not much apple flavor (we used gala apples).
What other apples can I use for a more intense flavor?
Galas are usually too sweet for cooking. Best bet is usually granny smith or macintosh when baking...

Did you use a bundt, tube or a regular spring pan?
Also, has anyone tried it substituting some (or all) of the flour for brown?

Just wanted to update: I made the cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! It lasted a total of two days in our house and even my cat liked it
