Amish people? Question...
We are going to Hershey Fri and will stay over. Sat-we want to do a tour of Amish Country..butt-will they let us in their homes? lol im sorry but i really have no clue...
has anyone done a tour?

There are some Amish farms that will give you a tour. do a search on Google for Amish Farm Tours

Ya know with all the interest in the Amish, and my DH's Family being Amish, I should start a tour business!!!! Here are some links that you might want to check Linda. I cannot vouch for the validity of their info, since our Daughter worked as a tour guide for one of these, and we found the info they gave the tourists quite interesting. Mary

Amish Farm and House Amish Village
Last summer we went to the Amish Village and really liked it. The kids really liked seeing the animals and climbing in all the buggies and wagons they had out, the tour of the house was interesting.

I had called once to ask, and I'm pretty sure whomever I spoke to said that she takes guests take to home of one of her Amish friends. I really want to go on this tour on one of my many trips to Amish country lol!

not in their homes, but you should do the back roads - not the touristy main roads. And while on the backroads many of them have stores out of seperate sections of their homes. Lots of quilt places are like this.
