My parents have a condo at Jiminy Peak and we love it there! Its very family friendly and my kids love the kids programs there! There isn't a ton to do nearby other than ski and hang out, but we usually aren't looking for more than that! Its not "cheap" but it is nowhere near as expensive as Killington would be.
